I am passionate about bringing others’ visions to life. While immersing myself in the quality of movement and the culture behind each specific choice, the connections between myself, the audience, and other movers on stage comes to life. Within this desire for connection is a striving for excellence, as well as understanding that “learning to dance” is a never-ending process, journey, and fascinating discovery. 

Through movement, I continue to seek understanding of the kinesthetic response behind every sensation, and work to find new ways to move more mindfully. My choreographic work aspires to create and embody movements that are unpredictable, eye-catching, and believable. By generating material based on a specific moment in time, such as a memory from my childhood or something I dreamt about, the ideas of relaying messages, connections, and stories arise. As I dive deeper into each exploration, the choices made unpack something uninvestigated within the concept and the movement prowess of each individual in the work. 

Imagery inspires me. Drawing pictures, seeing others’ choreographic work, movies, artwork, productions, moments in time, dreams, nightmares, facial expressions during conversations... My work explores either a true, raw story or fantasy I have created in my mind to enable the audience to share in my journey with these experiences. 

My ultimate goal is to never stop growing. As a mover, creator, and human, adapting with the times, researching the body and how it moves, and connecting with/understanding the mind, body, and spirit of every individual artist and human being possible, is important to me, as it amplifies my passion for dance, choreography, and open-mindedness.
